Project Description:
Designed to evoke a casual yet sophisticated feel, this unique boutique beach-house-style hotel, consists of 130 rooms, including five cottages. Newport Beach’s favorite guesthouse for locals and out of town visitors and boasts 130 guest rooms, including one presidential suite, several executive suites, and five custom-designed three-story cottages. Ideally situated among the city’s marina, beach and retail mix, the stylish coastal retreat is located in the heart of Newport Beach just steps away from Lido Marina Village and is flanked by the harbor and sandy beaches.
Influenced by the vernacular of local coastal homes, the hotel's design and residential scale humanize the project within its commercial context. The architectural character draws on the unique marine and coastal amenities, from which the idyllic Newport Beach destination has evolved and combines classic tactile materials such as used brick, wood siding, trim work, ironwork, with historic roof elements such as dormers and copulas.
“Lido House is a place that has been fully inspired by its surroundings, reminiscent of my own home on Balboa Island. This is a passion project in every sense of the word; Lido House is a place where the very best of Newport Beach comes together in one sophisticated celebration. A true partner in our community, a place for locals to come together and for visitors to discover what makes Newport Beach a must visit destination." Lido House's developer.
The lobby is residential in scale, incorporating large windows and operable French doors to allow the lush beach landscape to flood the interior. With an immediate connection to the hotel's reception area, the lobby will be a gathering place for locals and guests, with a casual yet upscale vibe.
Lido House features Newport Beach’s only rooftop bar, providing guests with views of the picturesque bay and the Pacific Ocean. The dramatic rooftop patio features the ‘Ultimate Cabana’ located in the circular tower at the corner of the building, offering the best views from the entire property.
Leveraging the stunning site, arriving at Lido House is like arriving home, the scale and details feel authentically residential. Guests are welcomed with elegant landscape features, grand ficus trees, and native Southern California plantings.
Spilling out into the front deck, Mayor’s Table is the hotel's upscale three-meal restaurant, featuring a focus on seafood and vegetable-forward cuisine. Other highlights include 15,000 square feet of indoor/outdoor meetings and events space, a saltwater pool with private cabanas, a high-end fitness center, and Boost Spa.
