Project Description:

Marriott Irvine Spectrum is the first new build, full-service hotel to open in Orange County in more than a decade. Envisioned and developed by R.D. Olson Development, the hotel is ideally situated in Irvine’s business and entertainment hub, attracting visitors as well as locals with unique artwork, amenities and a design that embraces the Irvine Ranch tradition.

Offering 271 guest rooms, including 50 premier suites, the hotel is elegantly appointed with modern wood and stone detailing, paying homage to the rich history of Irvine Ranch. The design combines classic, rustic living with contemporary styling and the latest technology, creating a modern and sleek oasis in the heart of Irvine’s retail, entertainment, and business district – a jewel in the Irvine skyline. At the entry, a cantilevered metal porte-cochère and honed-cut limestone welcome guests. A stone water feature traverses the main drive comfortably scaling the porte-cochère and separating it from the driveway.

A material palette of tinted glass and smooth plaster envelop the 15-story tower. The sleek rooftop bar, Hive & Honey, offers breathtaking panoramic, 360-degree views of the Saddleback Mountain, historic Laguna Canyon and the Spectrum Center. Decorative planters, palms, and olive trees create a warm and intimate atmosphere for guests to relax and socialize.

Encompassing 13,000 square-feet of immersive, tech-savvy indoor and outdoor space, the hotel includes a 5,000-square foot ballroom and a 4,000-square foot event lawn and break out rooms. The event lawn provides garden elements on its edges; a fireplace, chessboard, and seating; overlooking a contemporary zero edge pool, with a planting palette that creates a sophisticated, inviting and relaxing vibe. The cabana triplex, constructed of steel and wood, perfectly complement the pool and hotel tower, offering guests a true resort experience in the heart of Orange County.
