Project Description:
This 379-unit podium village sits in the heart of Warner Center, an urban hub in the San Fernando Valley. With a major street frontage and a publicly accessible internal plaza, the project offers significant space for upscale living, extending the public realm and fostering neighborhood connectivity.
The projects central architectural element, which houses five levels of leasing and amenity spaces, features a sleek, asymmetrical jewel box, composed of floor-to-ceiling glass. Transparent rectilinear forms enveloped by angular components create a dynamic, urban tension against a white-dominated palette of plaster and composite tile. Angled pilasters and a dramatically framed rooftop lounge provide panoramic views, while bold colors accentuate the building facade at the pedestrian level to establish human scale leading patrons to a portal connecting to the public accessible open space. Varied window patterns respond to the variety of massing. The building establishes a consistent but varied response to the street edge, with building frontages set back and thoughtfully landscaped to engage the community. Ground floor live-work units, which line the main street and plaza, offer an array of neighborhood goods and services. Architectural solar shading techniques, including thickened walls and vertical fins are also distinctive components of the project design.
The panoply of amenities is tailored to the Southern California lifestyle. A rooftop offers zones for sunbathing, socializing around fire pits, and al fresco dining. The pool, sun deck, indoor-outdoor lounges and Zen courtyard embrace outdoor recreation and sunlight. A spacious co-working space, private meeting rooms, and media/recording studio cater to mobile and flexible work habits. A dedicated game room, screening room, and multi-level fitness center foster balance and wellness. This dynamic community satisfies the discerning eye of L.A. residents.
