Location: Irvine, CA
Project Description:
The builder and design team were tasked with the challenge of designing and building the smallest SFD product at Beacon Park, while also setting it apart in a very competitive Irvine market and delivering something “special” to younger families and move-up buyers. The contemporary street scene is very dynamic - special care was paid to designing a good mix of cohesive styling, differentiation, and continuity while appealing to a younger demographic. This is the first production use of Art Deco styling in Irvine! The mini motor court configurations and plotting along the street maximize lot sizes and privacy. A complimentary, contemporary landscape palette was used throughout the community.
Creative use of indoor / outdoor living spaces in each plan made interior living areas feel bigger while maximizing the usable outdoor space in z-lot configurations, giving a seamless flow and transition between the two. Large, open floor plans allow for flexible entertaining space and growing families. The basic room relationships and massing within the home also reflect this contemporary style and it is carried through with the interior design and finish options. The contemporary architecture has been a big hit, the large outdoor deck in plan 3 a favorite among buyers.
